Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Dharamshala and Mandi
(Mandi/Dharamshala) Himachal Pradesh, Kumud Sharma, January 26:
On the occasion of 76th Republic Day of India, a district level function was organized at the historic Seri Manch in Mandi city. During this, Health Minister Dr. Colonel Dhaniram Shandil paid tribute to the martyrs and garlanded the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. He hoisted the national flag at the venue and took the salute of the parade.
In his address, the Health Minister said that tribute has been paid by remembering those who sacrificed for the freedom of the country. He said that today the whole country is continuously moving forward in unity under the Constitution.
On this occasion, colourful cultural programmes inspired by patriotism were also presented by school children. During the ceremony, those who did excellent work were also felicitated by the chief guest.
Meanwhile, Republic Day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm in Dharamshala. On this occasion, Sports Minister Yadvinder Goma paid tribute to the martyrs at the State Martyrs Memorial and lit the Amar Jyoti. He also hoisted the national flag at the Police Ground and took the salute of the magnificent march past.
In his address, Yadvinder Goma congratulated the people of the state on Republic Day and said that he salutes those who have sacrificed their lives for the security of the country.
