Shimla: NABARD will give a loan of Rs 42 thousand 244 crores in Himachal Pradesh for the year 2025-26
(Shimla) Himachal Pradesh, Kumud Sharma, January 24: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development i.e. NABARD will now provide a loan of Rs 42 thousand 244 crore for the financial year 2025-26 in Himachal Pradesh.
The loan flow has been increased by twenty-two and a half percent compared to last year. NABARD’s main priority is to strengthen the agriculture sector and the maximum loan of sixteen thousand eight hundred 25 crores will be given for agriculture and agriculture related development projects.
Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has released the State Focus Paper of NABARD and expressed hope that with the cooperation of NABARD, development works will accelerate in the state.
Prabodh Saxena (Chief Secretary Himachal) told Diary Times that, “NABARD has been our very important and strong partner, but this is a matter of priority sector, it is about agriculture, so even after this there are many credit flows which are obviously not in these datas, so if we combine both of them then the number is good. Every section should work in this direction as to how we can generate growth engines in the state, whether it is tourism, manufacturing, agriculture or services.”
NABARD Chief General Manager Dr. Vivek Pathania said that in collaboration with the government, NABARD is doing important work for the development of infrastructure. Every year NABARD gives Rs 900 crore for construction of roads, irrigation, drinking water and other schemes and this time also a provision of 900 crores has been made in which there will also be a focus on the green state.
In his address, Dr Vivek Pathania (CGM NABARD) said that, “Every year NABARD makes financial and non-financial influence in the state, so every year we sanction about Rs. 900 crores for infrastructure development. This year also, Rs. 903 crores have been sanctioned. So this year we have diversified our activities. Firstly, we sanctioned a project like the new government’s mandate is Green Himachal Pradesh. Under this, we have sanctioned Rs. 110 crores for e-charging infrastructure to HRTC, which will set up e-charging infrastructure in 58 locations.”
