(Shimla) Himachal Pradesh, Kumud Sharma, January 23: The Unemployed Union protested against the state government in Sarahan of Chaupal, during which the unemployed youth accused the state government and said that the job guarantee given by the Congress has not been fulfilled yet.

District President of Berojgar Sangh, Bal Krishna Thakur said that the state government had promised to provide one lakh jobs in a year but this promise has not been fulfilled in two years. He said that the state government is playing with the future of unemployed youth.

Bal Krishna warned that if the government’s attitude towards the youth does not change, then they will continuously protest by taking to the streets.

District President of Berojgar Sangh, Bal Krishna Thakur told Diary Times that, “The unemployment rate in Himachal Pradesh is the highest in India and there are about eight lakh registered unemployed in Himachal Pradesh and the Himachal Pradesh government has given 9337 posts in the assembly table till now, which are the approved posts of the previous government, only those are being filled, not a single post has been filled by our government till now. Ten guarantees were given by the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, in which the main guarantee was one lakh jobs per year i.e. five lakh, so the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh has forgotten that promise because he is not sensitive towards the youth, he never says that we had promised one lakh, he has gone back on his words.”
