Shimla: Ten years of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign completed, program organized at the state secretariat
(Shimla) Himachal Pradesh, Kumud Sharma, January 22: ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2015 from Panipat in Haryana has completed 10 years today.
On this occasion, a program was organized by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department in the State Secretariat in Shimla.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Colonel Dhaniram Shandil, who was present as the chief guest in the program, praised the Center’s ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ scheme and said that this is an important step of the Central Government in terms of saving and educating daughters.
Meanwhile, Shandil also stressed on the need to include martial arts in the curriculum.
He He said that daughters are progressing in every field today and are playing a leading role in all fields including army, police, doctor, engineering.
