Winter Carnival is going on in Manali and today is the second day of the national level winter carnival here and today, to preserve the tradition and culture of Kullu district, Mahanati of hundreds of women has become the center of attraction here. More than a hundred women’s groups are participating in this Mahanati. Hundreds of women were seen performing Nati in traditional attire on the Mall Road of Manali today.
The traditional dance of Kullu district, Nati, has also become famous all over the world through the Winter Carnival.
So this is a beautiful view of the roads of Manali where the colors of the traditional culture of Kullu and Himachal are visible through Mahanati.
Although the Nati was performed for an hour After walking, now all the women are again seen dancing on traditional songs.
More than a hundred women mandals have reached here and each group of women mandal has nine to ten women, so the number goes up to hundreds and every year the women’s mahanati is the center of attraction and in the year 2013 this mahanati has also registered its name in the Guinness World Record and now once again beautiful women are seen performing naati in traditional attire on the Mall Road of Manali and today the tourists are also getting drawn towards this beauty, although in the Kullu valley this mahanati is organized for two days because today all the women of the self help groups of the left bank are participating in this naati and if we talk about the coming 23rd, that is the day after tomorrow, then the self help groups of the left bank of Kullu valley will be participating on that day. Women will participate in it and more women from self help groups will participate in it. We have got such data that more than 200 self help groups will participate in the Mahanati to be held day after tomorrow. But today’s scene is also very beautiful in itself because the traditional people here are singing songs and all the women are enjoying this dance and at the same time this Mahanati is an effort to bring the tradition of Kullu district, the culture, the costumes here in front of the people and to preserve the way it is getting upgraded year after year because this winter carnival was started in the year 1977 with a winter game and gradually it has been upgraded and today it has been given the name of Winter Carnival and all the arrangements are being done by the government and administration but earlier when this winter carnival was started, at that time only Local people used to organize this festival for entertainment and promotion of culture but if we talk about today, Manali’s Winter Carnival is becoming famous year after year at the international level.
Not only Manali Winter Carnival but the entire culture of Himachal is also being promoted through it at the international level. So this traditional dance, the traditional Maha Naati style, is going to continue on the streets of Manali for the next few days. This carnival is being organized here in this manner from 20 to 24 January.
