(Hamirpur) Himachal Pradesh, Sourabh Jaiswal, January 21: International conference MATHED-2024 has been organized at NIT Hamirpur on the subject of production, thermal and design engineering.

On the second day of the conference, experts from prestigious academic institutions of the country and abroad brainstormed on energy, efficiency and decarbonization challenges.

In the conference, Professor Devdas Shetty of Columbia University, Washington DC USA gave the keynote lecture on robotics, nano materials and drone technology.

He also discussed with the participants the nuances of robotics technology and its possibilities in the future.

At the same time, Subhash Chandra Naik, scientist of Bureau of Indian Standards, put forth his views on product standardization and design standards for mechanical engineering. Giving information about the conference, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Head of Mechanical Department of NIT Hamirpur, said that 196 research papers were received from different countries in the conference, out of which 97 research papers have been included and researchers are presenting their views on it.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar, head of the mechanical department, told Diary Times, “In the name of MATHED 2024, which the mechanical engineering department is organizing, 196 research papers that we received for research were properly scrutinized and after scrutiny, there are 97 papers in which researchers are presenting their views in online and offline mode. There are three broad fields in mechanical, thermal, manufacturing and design. Research from these three fields is being read.”
