Shimla: Garbage carrying vehicle met with an accident on Taradevi bypass, driver died on the spot in the accident
Shimla, Sourabh Jaiswal: A road accident has occurred between Taradevi-Tutu bypass in Shimla.
A garbage vehicle of Shimla Municipal Corporation fell down from the hill here in which the driver died on the spot.
This accident occurred this morning, after which the local people informed the Boileauganj police station and the police reached the spot and took the body into custody.
Giving this information, Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Uma Kaushal said that this vehicle was going towards the garbage plant between Tutu-Taradevi after collecting garbage as usual, when this accident happened.
She said that the driver Vinod Kumar was very experienced and was working under Shimla Environment, Heritage Conservation and Beautification (SEHB) Society since 2010.
She said that for the employees working under this society, an amount of two lakhs is given to the family as immediate relief for such an accident, which will be released soon.
