Shimla, Sourabh Jaiswal: After the rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, the weather is clear in most parts today. Due to the rain and snowfall during the last 24 hours, a huge drop in temperature has been recorded. The average temperature of the state has been recorded 7.7 degrees Celsius lower. If we talk about snowfall, then more than one and a half feet of snow has been recorded in Tissa, Khajjiar, Dalhousie, Rohtang, Shinkula, Baralacha and Kunjum in Bharmour.
If there is 15 feet of snow in Rohtang, 12 in Solanganala, nine in Koksar, 3.1 in Keylong, 1.6 in Shimla and 1.5 feet in Manali Snowfall of up to three inches has been recorded.
Due to heavy rain and snowfall, 172 roads in the state have come to a standstill.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in the plains of the state and this warning has been issued for Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra districts.
Director of Meteorological Center Kuldeep Srivastava said that due to snowfall in the state, there has been a drop in temperature.
Kuldeep Srivastava said that the weather will remain clear till January 21.
He said that the western disturbance will again become active in the state on January 21 and from January 23, its effect will be seen widely in the entire state, due to which the state will again witness rain and snowfall.
