Solan, Sourabh Jaiswal: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has expressed concern over the increasing trend of drug addiction and has called upon every section of the society to come forward to end it.

The Governor said this as the chief guest on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the cricket competition organized by Arki Kalyan Sanstha on the theme ‘Khel Khilao Nasha Bhagao’ at Shalaghat in Arki subdivision on Tuesday.

He said that increasing drug addiction is destroying thousands of families in the state.

The Governor said that the police is working diligently to end drug addiction but the cooperation of the people is very important for this.

He praised the Arki Kalyan Sanstha and said that by organizing this competition, the hidden talents of the rural level have got a platform to show their talent.

During this, the tug of war competition of women and the short play organized on the theme of drug prevention were also the center of attraction.
