HRTC: A Journey from 1958 to Present Captured on Walls, Tunnel Decorated for Rs 19 Lakh
The beautification includes paintings showcasing the journey from HRTC’s first bus in 1958 to the modern electric buses in use today.
Shimla, (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 13 (Diary Times): The renovation of the tunnel at the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) headquarters and Shimla’s old bus stand has been successfully completed. Now, drivers and passengers passing through the tunnel will be able to experience a glimpse of HRTC’s rich history. The beautification includes paintings showcasing the journey from HRTC’s first bus in 1958 to the modern electric buses in use today. This marks the first effort to visually depict the history of HRTC, with these stories now engraved on the walls of the tunnel.
