Shimla, (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 11 (Diary Times): Himachal Pradesh experienced a significant shift in the weather on Saturday when snowfall and a cold storm swept through the region. The snow fell lightly in areas such as Rohtang Pass Koksar close to that of the North Portal of the Atal Tunnel in Lahaul-Spiti. However, Shimla and Kullu remained in the shade, and temperatures plummeted dramatically since the early hours of the morning.
The recent snowfall has intensified the cold across the valleys, causing the residents of these valleys to retreat in the indoors. In the meantime, visitors to Kullu-Manali took advantage of the wintery ambiance and many walked across to the Atal Tunnel to explore the landscapes covered in snow of Lahaul. The beautiful landscapes attracted tourists eager to experience the wonder of the season in real-time.
