The clash began as a disagreement between a local taxi driver and a group of tourists from Haryana, quickly escalating from verbal insults to a physical scuffle, causing a stir among onlookers in the popular tourist spot.

The situation quickly escalated, but nearby taxi drivers and locals at the Ridge ground stepped in promptly to defuse the tension. Following the incident, taxi drivers have urged the administration to take strict action to prevent such occurrences in the future. One driver expressed concern, stating, “Shimla is renowned for its hospitality to tourists from all over, but such behavior from a few individuals tarnishes our reputation.”
