Brij Raj Thakur Appointed as Member of Health and Family Welfare Society’s Governing Body
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 9 (Diary Times): Brij Raj Thakur, the former state secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, has been appointed as a member of the governing body of the State Health and Family Welfare Society. The Health Secretary of Himachal issued a notification on December 30, announcing the selection of six non-official members to the body.
Brij Raj Thakur, the former head of Bhawahi Panchayat in Vikaskhand Sangrah, is known to have a close relationship with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Thakur served as the state secretary when Sukhu was the president of the state Congress. Until two years ago, he was regarded as a key leader within the Sukhu camp in the Renuka Ji assembly constituency.

Brij Raj Thakur’s supporters are elated after he secured a position in a government committee, two years after the formation of the current government. Social media is buzzing with congratulations from his followers. Previously, his supporters had expressed disappointment over his lack of a post or responsibility within the party.
However, this new role for Thakur, seen as a key figure for Congress in the Haripurdhar sub-tehsil, has reinvigorated his supporters, bringing a renewed sense of energy and optimism.
