The event was attended by numerous senior leaders, including State BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Paonta Sahib MLA and former minister Sukhram Chaudhary, MLA Reena Kashyap, Narayan Singh, BJP candidate from Shri Renuka Ji, and former Shillai MLA Baldev Tomar.
Dheeraj Gupta’s appointment marks a clear endorsement from the BJP’s top leadership. A resident of Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh and part of the family of MLA and Energy Minister Sukhram Chaudhary, Gupta’s elevation to the role came as a surprise to many.
Although there had been speculation that the current district president, Vinay Gupta, might retain the position, BJP’s new rule, which restricts individuals over the age of 60 from holding the state president’s role, led to Dheeraj Gupta being entrusted with this significant responsibility.
State BJP President Rajiv Bindal congratulated Dheeraj Gupta on his appointment, expressing confidence in his leadership.
Bindal stated that under Gupta’s guidance, the BJP organization would strengthen its presence and influence in the Sirmaur district.
