Knife Attack Leaves Two Shopkeepers Hospitalized; Police Detain Four Tourists
Shimla, December 29: A violent altercation broke out between tourists from Punjab and local shopkeepers in Kufri, a popular tourist spot near Shimla, on Sunday afternoon. The incident escalated into a knife attack, leaving two shopkeepers injured. The injured shopkeepers, identified as Shekhar and Jagdish, both residents of Mundaghat, were immediately rushed to IGMC Hospital in Shimla for medical treatment. Thankfully, their condition is reported to be stable and out of danger.
According to reports, the confrontation began when the group of four tourists from Punjab, who had visited Kufri to enjoy the snow, got into a heated argument with the shopkeepers over an issue during their shopping. What started as a verbal dispute quickly turned violent when the tourists allegedly attacked the shopkeepers with a knife.

Upon receiving the distress call, Dhali police promptly arrived at the scene and took swift action, detaining the four accused tourists. They are currently under investigation. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the tourists had traveled to Shimla specifically to experience the snowfall.
The police have launched a full investigation into the incident, and the situation is being closely monitored. The authorities are working to uncover the exact sequence of events that led to this violent confrontation.
