Main accused lawyer Deshdeep arrested in Haroli double murder case

Una, December 24: Haroli police took prompt action in the double murder case that took place on Monday morning in Lower Bhadasali of subdivision Haroli in Una district of Himachal Pradesh and arrested the main accused within 24 hours. The accused has been identified as Deshdeep son of Ramesh Jaswal, resident of Lower Bhadasali. The Superintendent of Police will give detailed information on this matter through a press conference on Tuesday at 11:30 am.

Murder in film style?

On Monday morning, there was a fight between two parties over land dispute in Gram Panchayat Lower Bhadasali. During this, there was a scuffle in the fields between Pradhan Saroj Devi’s husband Sanjeev Kumar and neighbor Ramesh Chand. During the scuffle, Sanjeev was attacked with a Darat, which cut his finger and Ramesh Chand was also injured.

When Ravindra and Jaswinder reached near Lower Bhadsali School, the main accused Deshdeep shot Ravindra with a rifle kept in his car. The first bullet hit the engine of the car, while the second bullet hit Ravindra’s chest. After the incident, when Ravindra’s father Sanjeev reached the spot, the accused shot him too.

Intervention of villagers and police action

When Pradhan Saroj Devi raised an alarm, the villagers gathered at the spot and both the injured were immediately taken to the Regional Hospital Una, where doctors declared them dead. After the incident, the police took immediate action and arrested four accused. The main accused Deshdeep, who had absconded, was caught on Tuesday morning. ASP Una Sanjeev Bhatia has confirmed the arrest of the main accused.
