Himachal Pradesh’s Bhubhu Jot tunnel project, which was pending for a long time, has now been given a green signal by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, calling it a very important military project of India. Now the Himachal Pradesh government is going to get a huge amount to start this project, due to which it is expected that on completion of this project, not only the geographical but also the economic condition of the state will improve.
The Bhubhu Jot tunnel project is considered to be the most important for Himachal Pradesh because this project is going to give impetus to the state’s road system, tourism and trade, especially in Kangra and Kullu districts. The state government was already trying its best to get the Bhubhu Jot tunnel project approved by the central government and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has talked to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to give a big fund to this project by giving it the status of a national project. The amount of funds for the project has not been announced yet but soon the central team will visit the Bhubhu Jot tunnel site and submit its report to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, after which the notification of funds for the project will be issued.
