Hamirpur: The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission is set to introduce a single window system for government job recruitment, aiming to simplify and expedite the hiring process. The design and technical framework for this new system have been completed, with a detailed report sent to the Personnel Department for final approval.
This innovative approach will allow departments, corporations, and boards to submit their recruitment demands online, creating a faster and more transparent recruitment process. The implementation of this online portal is expected to reduce the time spent on lengthy correspondence and administrative delays, benefiting both departments and job seekers.
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, was briefed on the progress during a meeting in Dharamshala, where officials presented the report. The single window system is expected to be launched soon, offering a more efficient way to process government job applications. For job seekers, this new system will provide increased clarity and quicker access to recruitment opportunities.
This online platform will not only streamline the requisition process but will also offer several new features to improve the overall experience for candidates. The new system promises to address the concerns of unemployed individuals who have been waiting for nearly two years for new recruitments to be processed through the commission.
In another development, a cabinet sub-committee will meet in Dharamshala on Friday to finalize the recruitment results for five post codes that were put on hold due to a paper leak case during the tenure of the dissolved commission. The meeting, scheduled after the assembly session, will likely decide on the release of the results for these post codes, with the recruitments expected to be handed over to the State Selection Commission following approval.
Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, confirmed that the formalities for the single window system have been completed. “The proposal has been sent to the Personnel Department, and the system will be implemented after receiving approval,” Mahajan added.
