Himachal Pradesh: Congress government is unable to answer the questions of the opposition, further action
The Congress government which has completed two years of its tenure in power in Himachal Pradesh is only making paper promises, the situation on the ground is so bad that corruption is prevailing everywhere. At present, two days of the winter session of the Fourteenth Vidhan Sabha have been completed in Tapovan, Dharamshala, but all the big leaders of the ruling party are only giving assurances and assurances of reforms, correct figures are also not being presented and the result of this is that unemployed teachers are opposing the guest teacher policy in which it is clearly mentioned that teachers will be paid only for every hour of teaching. The Congress government has also amended the rules on outsourced recruitments and has decided to curb every financial benefit given to teachers, which is absolutely wrong because after this decision the life of the teachers of the hill state seems to be ruined. Not only this, before the recruitments, the outsourced agencies are demanding money from the candidates, which is only creating problems and the opposition party BJP leader Jairam Thakur has termed this as ‘outsourced agencies of Congress leaders’. The state government seems to be on the backfoot on every issue. It is only in front of the media that the Congress leaders are talking about playing on the frontfoot.
The state government, a victim of financial misgovernance, got more than ten crore rupees looted from the treasury by calling outside lawyers for the case to justify the appointment of CPS (Chief Parliamentary Secretaries). The Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is responsible for this, who often blames the Central Government for the financial conditions.

Central government gave 8623 crores to Himachal Pradesh government
The Narendra Modi government at the centre has provided financial assistance of Rs 8623 crores to the ruling Congress government of Himachal Pradesh this year, whereas last year the central government had given financial assistance of Rs 14943 crores. Now the question arises that where was the central money used? Was any major project of the state completed by the state government on its own? The straight answer is absolutely not. The Chief Minister of the state has replied that this amount has been spent for the repair work of bad roads, construction of bridges, construction work of damaged houses and repairing the closed drinking water schemes.
Such a huge amount has become a victim of corruption and financial mismanagement only because the Himachal Pradesh government is going to take a loan of Rs 500 crores again in the month of December, the notification of which has also been issued and after taking this loan, the debt of the state will become 900 crores.
Even on the occasion of completion of two years, a sum of Rs. 20 crore was wasted in a grand function organized by the state government in Bilaspur. Is this not a big financial mismanagement when the government is already struggling to pay the salaries, pensions and long pending dues of the state employees and pensioners?
44924 women benefitted on paper from Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana
Speaking in the winter session of the state assembly, Congress government’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Colonel Dr Dhaniram Shandilya informed that from January 2024 to November 2024, forms of 808045 women of the state were received under the Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, out of which, after sorting out, a lump sum installment of Rs 4500 for three months has been deposited in the account of only 44924 women, while a woman was getting widow pension from whom the amount of Rs 4500 has been snatched. Now only 44923 women in the state will get the benefit of Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana. Here also an issue arises that whether the amount of Rs 4500 has really been deposited in the account of these women by the state government or the Congress government is misleading by presenting only paper figures.
CU Dharamshala building is a victim of politics since 12 years
The building of Central University Dharamshala seems to be a victim of politics of Congress and BJP since last 12 years because the construction work of this building has not even started till now. The amount of Rs 400 crore sanctioned by the Central Government for the construction of CU Dharamshala building is not being spent because the incompetent Congress government of the state is expressing its inability to give only Rs 30 crore and is refusing to do so. Regarding this issue, the former Chief Minister of the state, Shanta Kumar ji, has termed the Sukhu government’s ‘politics of injustice’ with Kangra district. Not only this, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has also started projects worth Rs 300 crore in the assembly constituency of his wife and newly elected MLA Kamlesh Thakur and this also includes the construction work of the Dehra building of the Central University, which has already started.
This clearly shows that the Congress leaders of the state are allocating funds only for the development of their constituencies, while they have forgotten that the people of the state have entrusted the important responsibility of the all-round development of the state to them for five years, two years of which have been completed and now only less than three years are left.
