Kumud Sharma: For the first time in Himachal Pradesh, adventure enthusiasts can now enjoy the thrilling experience of parasailing at Gobind Sagar Lake in Bilaspur.
Starting from Sunday, parasailing activities have begun near the Mandi-Bharari bridge along the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane road. This exciting water sport will allow tourists to soar above the vast expanse of the lake and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys.

Tourists can take a parasailing ride for just Rs 2000, which will last about two minutes in the air. However, the total experience, including the boat ride to and from the lake, will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The parasailing boat, which cost Rs 1 crore, is designed to ensure safety and provide an unforgettable adventure.

Gobind Sagar Lake, already known for its various water sports like cruises, steamer jetties, and Shikara rides, now adds parasailing to its list of attractions. The district administration has designated a special water sports zone near the Mandi-Bharadi bridge to promote adventure tourism, which was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu.
