Dr. Shridhar, who retired five years ago as Secretary to the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, expressed his deep commitment to the agriculture, livestock, and fisheries sectors. “I am honored to join ICFA as the Director General, and I look forward to working alongside the newly constituted board, under the leadership of Shri Suresh Prabhu, to take the organization forward,” he said.

Dr. Shridhar assured ICFA members that the newly constituted board would prioritize the empowerment of farmers and work towards the development of Indian agriculture. “Our goal is to ensure that Indian agriculture grows in strength, contributing not only to the national economy but also to the global agricultural landscape,” he added.

Encouraging active participation, he invited stakeholders from the agriculture sector to engage with ICFA through its flagship events and exhibitions, contributing their suggestions, advice, and ideas for the continued progress of Indian agriculture. “I urge all of you to be proactive in your engagement with ICFA. Together, we can shape the future of Indian agriculture,” he concluded.
