Kumud Sharma, Diary Times: 43-year-old Sanat Kalet, the serving Kinnaur District Sports Officer, tragically passed away due to a cardiac arrest. He was a resident of Koti (Ghadeen) village in Madavag Panchayat, located in the Pundar area of Chaupal Tehsil in Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh. Kalet had served in various positions throughout his career, contributing significantly to the sports development in the region. His untimely death has left the community in shock, and he will be remembered for his dedication and service.

Sanat Kalet spent a peaceful night with his family at their private residence in Shimla. However, in the morning, when his wife, Monika Kalet, tried to wake him up, she was shocked to find that he had passed away in his sleep, never to awaken again. The sudden and unexpected loss has left his family and loved ones in deep sorrow, as they come to terms with the tragic passing of a dedicated public servant.

Sanat Kalet leaves behind his grieving family, including his 72-year-old mother, Kanta Kalet, his wife, Monika Kalet, and their two daughters, aged 13 and 10. Throughout his career, Kalet made significant contributions to the sports community, having served as a softball coach in several districts across Himachal Pradesh. His untimely death has left a void in both his family and the sports community, where he was deeply respected for his dedication and service.

In addition to his work as a softball coach, Sanat Kalet also served as a senior coach at the National Sports Institute in Shimla and Kinnaur, where he played a key role in training and mentoring athletes. At the time of his passing, he was serving as the District Sports Officer for Kinnaur. His contributions to the sports development in the region were highly valued, and his loss is deeply felt by both the local community and the sports fraternity.
