CM Sukhu: A formula is being prepared for ranking 138 colleges of Himachal Pradesh
CM Sukhu said that our government is going to set a formula for ranking all 138 colleges of the state. The main objective of the ranking is to strengthen all the colleges and government educational institutions of the state in the form of high-tech and modern education and take the students forward on the path of qualitative education, the state government has sufficient funds available for the field of education.

Kumud Sharma, Diary Times: While presiding over a program of the Alumni Association at the Center of Excellence, Government Degree College Sanjauli, CM Sukhu said that within two years, the facilities of Arts Block, Girls Hostel and Parking are going to be strengthened in the college campus and he himself will be present as the chief guest in their foundation stone laying, along with this, CM Sukhu has announced to give an amount of Rs 50 lakh to the Alumni Association for successfully organizing the program.
All colleges will get ranking soon
The CM said that our government is going to complete its two-year term and whatever important decisions have been taken for the betterment of the people of the state in these two years, those decisions will only benefit the future of the state. Throwing light on the major changes to be made in the field of education, CM Sukhu said that the present state government is soon going to prepare a ranking formula for all 138 colleges of the state, which will strengthen the facilities provided in colleges and all government educational institutions. The CM said that the present government is constantly taking important steps to ensure quality education not only to colleges but also to students, in which money will not be a hindrance.
Giving important information, the CM said that the state government has started the ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana’ to bear the entire cost of education of 23 thousand children of widowed women till the age of 27 years. Also, to overcome the problem of meritorious students of the state not facing any obstacle in getting higher education or any student not being able to pursue education due to lack of money, ‘Dr. YS Parmar Student Loan Scheme’ has been started under which a loan of up to Rs 20 lakh is being made available to fulfill the dream of higher education, that too at an interest rate of only one percent.
Addressing the program, Justice Sandeep Sharma of Himachal Pradesh High Court said that it was a great pleasure to meet my old friends of Sanjauli College today and many old memories related to this college were also refreshed.
Sandeep Sharma said that Sanjauli College has played a huge role in giving a new direction to his career, for which he will always be indebted to Sanjauli College. He said, “It is a matter of great fortune for me that I have been a student of this college, the students who have studied here are ahead in every field today.” Also, Sandeep Sharma praised CM Sukhu and said that he is very hardworking and after hard work, he has moved ahead from a small family and reached the seat of Chief Minister.
Sandeep Sharma advised the students present in the college campus to work hard and especially to stay away from bad habits of intoxication. During the program, the students of the college presented one cultural program after another.
