Himachal Govt grants major relief to vocational teachers: 30 days annual leave and age limit for appointment raised to 45 years
Himachal government ensures continuity for vocational teachers: Same salary will be offered if they switch companies, without reappointment
Shimla, November 20: The government has given a big relief to the vocational teachers working in the schools of Himachal Pradesh. Teachers will now get 30 days leave in a year. On Wednesday, a meeting of vocational teachers was held with the Education Minister in the Secretariat, in which the demands of vocational teachers were discussed.
During this, Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that the demands of vocational teachers were discussed in detail and a decision has been taken to give 30 days leave in a year to vocational teachers. Vocational teachers were demanding to exclude companies and bring them under Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation.

In the meeting, the model of some other states including Haryana was also discussed and a sub-committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Rajesh Sharma, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Based on the recommendations of the committee, the government will take further decision in this matter. Representatives of the Vocational Teachers Association including Joint Secretary Education will also be included in the committee. Who will give their report and after this the matter will be raised before the Chief Minister.
Teachers have been given another relief in appointment. Till now vocational teachers could be appointed only till the age of 37 years. But its age limit has been increased to 45 years.
On the other hand, if these teachers are appointed under another company after leaving one company, then their appointment will not be considered new. That is, they will get the same salary in the second company as they used to get in the previous company.
