Shimla, November 19: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu paid floral tribute to India’s first woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her birth anniversary at the historic Ridge. Recalling Indira Gandhi’s contribution to nation building, the Chief Minister said that her visionary decisions empowered India by providing a strong foundation.
The Chief Minister said that land reforms and nationalization of banks are evidence of Indira Gandhi’s visionary policies which benefited the common man. The Chief Minister said that she sacrificed her life to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, MLAs Harish Janartha, Ranjit Singh Rana, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Sunil Sharma, Principal Advisor (Media) to the Chief Minister Naresh Chauhan, Vice President of Himuda Yashwant Chhajta, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Shimla Surendra Chauhan, Councillors, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and other dignitaries were present.
