Mandi, November 19: The condition of farmers in Himachal Pradesh is pathetic in today’s era and farmers are not even able to get back their sown crops. Farmers are facing the brunt of the government system and sometimes they suffer losses due to natural disasters. Even after this, the remaining work is completed by wild animals, due to which today the farmers of Mandi district are also forced to abandon the tradition of farming and migrate to cities. Himachal Kisan Union will strongly raise all these issues in the coming time and will force the government to take decisions in the interests of farmers.
This was said by the newly elected Mandi district president of Himachal Kisan Union Karamu Ram in a press conference held in Mandi on Monday. He told that the budget received in the name of farmers is spent somewhere else or it is lapsed, which is not right. He said that the farmer has become so helpless today that there is no one to look after him. He said that voice will be raised before the government so that farmers in Mandi district can do farming on a larger scale and get implements etc. at cheaper rates.
