Sukhdev Singh of Sarkaghat martyred in Ladakh, last rites performed with military honors
Havildar Sukhdev Singh, the brave son of Sarkaghat, has been martyred in Ladakh while protecting the country’s borders. Although clear information about how the martyrdom happened is not available, but the martyrdom letter has been handed over to the Sarkaghat sub-division administration by the army. This brave son of Jamsai village of Tehsil Sarkaghat was serving in the Army’s Artillery Regiment for the last 24 years. His martyrdom has spread a wave of mourning in the Sarkaghat area.
Mandi, November 05: Havildar Sukhdev Singh, the brave son of Sarkaghat, has been martyred in Ladakh while protecting the country’s borders. Although clear information about how the martyrdom happened is not available, but the martyrdom letter has been handed over to the Sarkaghat sub-division administration by the army. This brave son of Jamsai village of Tehsil Sarkaghat was serving in the Army’s Artillery Regiment for the last 24 years. His martyrdom has spread a wave of mourning in the Sarkaghat area.

Martyr Havildar Sukhdev Singh was cremated today in village Jamsai with full military honors. In which Tehsildar Sarkaghat Munish Kumar was present on behalf of the local administration. The soldiers from the martyr’s unit also gave him the last salute. In this final farewell, a large number of people gathered and paid tribute to this brave son and expressed condolences to his family. Havildar Sukhdev Singh has left behind his wife Anita Devi and a son. The Sarkaghat subdivision administration has confirmed Sukhdev’s martyrdom letter from the army.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of brave soldier Havildar Sukhdev Singh. The Chief Minister said that the country will never forget the contribution of Havildar Sukhdev Singh. He has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family. He has also prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
