The administration has fixed places for the sale of crackers for Diwali. Places have been fixed at Ice-Skating Rink Shimla, Baluganj Sports Ground, Sanjauli ahead of PWD parking towards Chotta Shimla, Khalini Bypass, Himachal Pradesh University Ground Summerhill Shimla, Chotta Shimla, Kasumpti and other places. Apart from this, the administration has said that strict action will be taken against those selling crackers at other places.

District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap said that the time for burning crackers has been fixed from 8 pm to 10 pm. Everyone should burn crackers only in this fixed time period. He said that all the vendors are selling only green crackers to prevent pollution. Action will be taken against those who do not follow the prescribed rules. Places have been fixed for the sale of crackers, crackers are being sold only at marked places. Fire engines and other arrangements have been made at places where crackers are sold so that no accident occurs.
At the same time, vendors who have set up stalls of crackers at the ice skating rink in Shimla’s Lakkar Bazaar said that they are selling only green crackers. From the environmental point of view, bursting only green crackers is a good initiative. They said that people are coming to buy crackers. They are expecting good business.
