Mandi, October 27: A Maruti car rolled down a deep ravine in Vardhan of Chuharghati in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Due to which five youths riding in the car died on the spot. This horrific accident is reported to have happened late Saturday night.
The youths riding in the car were residents of Dhamchian village. They had gone to a wedding ceremony in Barot. This accident happened while returning home late at night. The information of which was received on Sunday morning, when a sheep herder saw the car rolled down in the fields about 700 meters below the road. He informed the nearby villagers about this.

After that, the Panchayat representatives reached the spot and informed the Tikkan police station about the incident.
The police reached the spot and started rescue with the help of local people to take the mutilated bodies to the road. The deceased have been identified as Rajesh, Gangu, Karna, Sagar and Ajay. The age of the deceased is being reported to be between 16 to 30 years. This tragic accident has spread a wave of mourning in Chuhar Valley.
However, the police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them to Civil Hospital Jogindernagar for post-mortem. After the Panchnama, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives.
SP Mandi said that the police have registered a case and started rescue with the help of villagers to take out the bodies. The reason behind the accident will be investigated.
