Triumph has unveiled the Tiger Sport 800 globally, featuring a new engine, modern hardware and customisation options.

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the all-new Tiger Sport 800 for global markets. The UK-based manufacturer has developed a new engine and introduced several new mechanicals for the bike.

The triple engine on the Tiger Sport 800 produces 115 PS of peak power and 84 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with Triumph Shift Assist. There are three rider modes, Sport, Road and Rain, available at the press of a button.

The Tiger Sport 800 features Showa 41mm upside-down separate-function cartridge forks with rebound and compression damping adjustment. These feature a Showa monoshock that offers rebound damping adjustment and 150mm of wheel travel as well as a remote hydraulic preload adjuster.

Triumph branded radial-mounted, 4-piston brake calipers and twin 310mm front discs are paired with a single piston sliding caliper and 255mm disc at the rear. The lightweight cast aluminium wheels are shod with Michelin’s Road 5 Sports Touring tyres. The seat height is 835mm and the bike has a 18.6-litre bike tank. The Tiger Sport 800 weighs 214 kg.

Apart from Triumph Shift Assist, the Tiger Sport 800 gets features like cruise control, optimised cornering ABS and switchable traction control. LED lights, multi-functional LCD and TFT instruments with turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth phone connectivity are included as standard.

Its sculpted aerodynamic bodywork and standard fit wind deflectors provide better wind protection. Over 40 dedicated accessories are available, ranging from the Akrapovic slip-on silencer with titanium wrap and carbon fibre end caps to a full suite of luggage including panniers that fit seamlessly into the integrated mount and twin helmet top box.

Four colours are available, including Sapphire Black or the premium options; Graphite, Cosmic Yellow and Caspian Blue, all with contrasting Sapphire Black elements. A multifunction display with LCD upper section above the integrated colour TFT screen comes as standard. The My Triumph connectivity system features turn-by-turn navigation, phone and music information, controlled via Bluetooth.
