Student dies after falling from Himachal Pradesh University hostel
A tragic incident of a student from Kinnaur falling from the third floor of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh hostel of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has taken place. The deceased has been identified as Akhil, who was a student of first semester of LLB at the university. It is being said that the accident took place late last night.

Upon receiving the information, the university authorities immediately rushed the student to the nearest hospital. However, despite their efforts, the doctors declared Akhil dead. The post-mortem of the body is being conducted at the Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla, after which the body will be handed over to his family.
HPU Chief Warden RL Jinda confirmed the incident and said that university officials and other staff members are present at the IGMC to assist in the necessary formalities.
The incident has shocked the university community, with students expressing grief over the untimely death of their fellow student. The exact circumstances behind the fall are still being investigated and further details are awaited.
