Shimla: Young man and woman arrested with 4.870 grams of chitta during raid at homestay
Shimla police has tightened the noose on drug peddlers. It is not easy for criminals involved in drug smuggling to escape from the police. In this episode, the police arrested a young man and woman and recovered 4.870 grams of chitta from their possession.
Shimla, September 14: Shimla police has tightened the noose on drug peddlers. It is not easy for criminals involved in drug smuggling to escape from the police. In this episode, the police arrested a young man and woman and recovered 4.870 grams of chitta from their possession.
Both the accused were smuggling chitta by taking a room in a homestay. The young man and woman caught by the police are natives of Rohru subdivision of Shimla district. They used to sell chitta to local youths. Both were on the radar of the police and a trap was laid to catch them.
Under Dhali police station, the police raided a homestay located at Lambidhar. In room number-102 of the homestay, Rankaj (31) and Aditi (26), residents of Rohru, were caught with 4.870 grams of chitta. The police is now trying to find out from where these accused used to get the drugs. SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that action is being taken against both the accused by registering a case under the NDPS Act in Dhali police station.
