Modern indoor stadium to be built in Paddal of Mandi city, 6 sports courts proposed

Mandi, September 14: Under the Khelo India campaign, Sadar MLA Anil Sharma has started the exercise for the proposed indoor stadium in the city’s Paddal. Due to this, after the land was in the name of the Sports Department, the team of the Architect Department of Sports Authority of India visited the proposed place on Saturday. After that, after discussing with the whole team, directions were given to make its draft.
On this occasion, MLA Anil Sharma said that a modern indoor stadium will be built in Paddal of Mandi. In which about 6 sports courts are proposed. Which includes volleyball, basketball, hand ball and badminton courts. Along with this, a parking space will also be built here. He said that talks have also been held with the Devta Samiti in this regard, under which the indoor stadium will be kept open for the deities during the fair.
Anil Sharma said that this will give children an opportunity to stay connected with sports in every season. Anil Sharma said that the proposal for the indoor stadium will be sent from the cabinet to the central government and its work will be started soon. He said that the work of a big playground has been started in Kotli and in the coming time, the process of building a big sports complex in Raghunath Ke Padhar of the city will also move forward.
At the same time, Anil Sharma said that along with promoting sports, he is also making every effort for the beautification of the city. In this, he is also getting the support of the Himachal Pradesh government. MLA Anil Sharma, while giving information, said that the Tourism Department has released an amount of 18 crores for the Shivdham project to be built in Kangni Dhar of Mandi. Along with this, CM Sukhvinder Singh has also talked about releasing an additional 125 crores for Shivdham.
On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Mayor Virendra Bhatt, Executive Engineer of PWD Mandi Division 2 DK Verma and other officers and employees were present.
