Hero on social media, notice issued to HAS Oshin Sharma for negligence in duty

Mandi, September 11: SDM Dharampur Joginder Patial has issued a show cause notice to Tehsildar Sandhole Oshin Sharma and other officers and employees regarding delay and negligence in administrative work in Dharampur subdivision of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh Administrative Officer Oshin Sharma (HAS Oshin Sharma), who is active on social media, is accused of being negligent in administrative and public interest related works.

In the notice issued by the SDM of Dharampur, it has been asked why the administrative and public interest related works are being delayed. Oshin Sharma is very active on social media, she shares information on women’s rights, social issues and preparations for examinations but was seen to be away from her administrative duties.

Flaws found in DC Mandi’s inspection

Recently, DC Mandi Apoorv Devgan visited Dharampur subdivision and reviewed the work of the Revenue Department, in which negligence was found in the work of many officers and employees. The DC had directed SDM Dharampur to take immediate action. The SDM has issued notices to Tehsildar Oshin Sharma and other officers as per the instructions of DC Mandi.

Questions on Oshin Sharma’s image

In the initial days, while working as Tehsildar Sandhole, Oshin Sharma had created the image of a domineering and strong female officer in the area with her hard work. But gradually she became more active on social media and away from her administrative work. A notice has been issued to her on the basis of the shortcomings revealed by DC Mandi after reviewing her work.

This notice is not limited to Oshin Sharma only. Such notices have also been issued to other officers and employees of Dharampur subdivision due to delay and negligence in their work. SDM Dharampur Joginder Patial said that this action has been taken against the officers who were negligent in administrative work during the visit of DC Mandi.
