Shoolini University and RKMV receive ICSSR grant for agripreneurship research
Shoolini University and Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV) Shimla have received a grant of Rs 25 lakh from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) to carry out a research project on agripreneurship among youth in Himachal Pradesh.
Solan, September 10: Shoolini University and Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV) Shimla have received a grant of Rs 25 lakh from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) to carry out a research project on agripreneurship among youth in Himachal Pradesh.
The project titled “Capacity Building and Youth Perceptions about Agripreneurship in Himachal” aims to explore ways to empower youth in the state through capacity building initiatives to encourage them to take up entrepreneurship in agriculture. The research also evaluates existing government initiatives, such as the Chief Minister’s Startup Scheme, to assess their effectiveness and suggest improvements to promote agripreneurship in the region.
The project is being led by the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at Shoolini University, comprising a team of scholars from both institutions. Academic Dean Prof. Narinder Verma, Associate Professor Dr. Chander Mohan and Assistant Professor Dr. Abhilasha Chauhan from Shoolini University and Associate Professor Prof. Anurita Saxena, Assistant Professor Dr. Munish Sharma and Dr. Reenu Devi from RKMV College will contribute to the research.
This collaboration between Shoolini University and RKMV aims to deepen the understanding of agricultural entrepreneurship in Himachal Pradesh, thereby contributing to broader efforts to promote sustainable development and economic growth in the region.
