Suraj Pandit of Sarahan became Lieutenant in Army, increased the pride of Himachal in Passing Out Parade

Suraj Pandit, son of Pachhad (Sarahan) of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, has made the entire state proud by achieving the status of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.

Nahan, 07 September: Suraj Pandit, son of Pachhad (Sarahan) of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, has made the entire state proud by achieving the status of Lieutenant in the Indian Army. On Saturday, 258 male and 39 female cadets joined the Indian Army in a grand ceremony at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai. This parade was reviewed by the Deputy Chief of Army, Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramaniam. Lieutenant Suraj Pandit also became a part of it.

Suraj, son of Anjana Sharma and Arun Kumar, has been posted in the Maratha Regiment. Suraj has made not only the family but the entire state proud by joining the army. Suraj started his education in DAV School Sarahan. While he completed his BSc from Chandigarh. Suraj has been a topper in studies since childhood. Suraj’s father Arun Kumar Kangar is posted as a lecturer in Dharyar School. His son’s success has made him proud. His mother Anjana Sharma is a housewife.

Pachhad subdivision has given many warriors to the country in the past, the area is known for its brave sons. Local people say that the warriors here are always ready to serve and sacrifice for the country. Not only Sirmaur but Himachal Pradesh is also feeling proud of this achievement of Suraj Pandit. Cadets from friendly foreign nations also participated in the ceremony, which highlights the important role of OTA in international military cooperation.
