Fraud in the name of getting a job abroad, 20 lakhs were swindled

Mandi, September 07: Roop Lal, a resident of Aran Kothi in Sundernagar police station area, has accused AB International Company of Delhi of cheating him of Rs 20 lakh 45 thousand in the name of giving a job abroad. Roop Lal has lodged a complaint in Sundernagar police station in this regard.

According to Roop Lal, he and some other people got the address of AB International Company for employment abroad. They reached the Delhi office, where they met a woman named Indira Mani wife of Randhir, who is the owner of the company. Indira Mani offered him work in Kazakhstan and expressed the need for a passport. He transferred Rs. 20 lakh 45 thousand to various accounts as the necessary fee for obtaining his passport and visa.

But, the visa process was not completed and neither was his money returned. Indira Mani initially assured to return the money, but later switched off her phone and now there is no contact of any kind.

Sundernagar police has started investigation considering the seriousness of the matter. ASP Mandi, Sagar Chandra has confirmed that the police has registered an FIR in this case and further investigation is underway. Police is making every possible effort to catch the fraud accused and provide justice to the victims.
