Taking a major action against drug abuse in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur district, the police has arrested a person with 2400 narcotic capsules.
Paonta Sahib, 04 September: Taking a major action against drug abuse in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur district, the police has arrested a person with 2400 narcotic capsules. This arrest has been made by the team of Detection Cell. According to the information, the team has recovered 2400 narcotic capsules (PARVON SPAS PLUS) from the possession of Sunil Kumar son Surendra Kumar resident of Behat, Uttar Pradesh. These capsules come under the category of banned narcotics, whose consumption is harmful for health. It is used by drug addicts.
The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. With this arrest, the police has taken a strict action against drug dealers. According to Paonta Sahib Police, the investigation of the case is going on and by interrogating the accused, efforts are being made to find out to whom these narcotic capsules were being supplied and who all are involved in this.
The police is taking further action to dismantle the drug network. This has been confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police Aditi Singh. This action of Paonta Sahib Police has strengthened the campaign against drugs in the area.
