Shimla, September 03: To implement financial discipline in Himachal Pradesh, the state government has temporarily stopped the salaries of employees. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has clarified the reason behind this step. He said that last year the state earned a revenue of Rs 2200 crore and currently the financial situation is improving.
The Chief Minister said that the economy of Himachal Pradesh is slowly getting back on track, but some more efforts are needed in the direction of financial discipline and economic reform. He also told that the state government has to spend Rs 2000 crore per year on the salary and pension of the employees.
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that we are recovering from the financial crisis and this step has been taken to strengthen the financial discipline of the state. We have to put more emphasis on physical discipline and economic reform. This step has been taken to stabilize the economic condition of the state and improve financial management.
