Solan, August 26: Sensational suspicion is being expressed that the sanitation workers pushed the half-burnt body into the ditch in Subathu Cantonment area of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Although the search operation was launched on Sunday afternoon, but the remains of the body were not found till Monday afternoon. The police is leaving no stone unturned in the investigation of this four-month-old case. The police received information that in the month of April, a half-burnt body was found by the sanitation workers at the dumping site located on Ram Bagh Marg. Instead of informing the police, the workers threw it into the ditch.
After four months, the police got information about this incident, after which the police team led by SDM Solan Poonam Bansal and DSP Parwanoo Pranav Chauhan started the search operation on Sunday. But even till Monday afternoon, the police did not get success. The forensic team was also present in the search operation, but due to darkness, success was not achieved. It is suspected that this dead body may be of an elderly person who went missing from a panchayat in the area on April 24. It is being told that the police have questioned the sanitation inspector and sanitation workers of the cantonment administration. Questions are being raised as to how the dead body was found in a half-burnt state and why it was thrown in the ditch without informing the police.
On the other hand, the SDM of Subathu has given permission to dig for a search operation in the dumping site. Considering the seriousness of the matter, investigation is going on, if the dead body is found, further action will be taken after post-mortem.
In a conversation with Local News Network, Solan Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that investigation is going on from every aspect. The SP said that the remains of the dead body have not been recovered yet. Search is being done on the spot and sanitation workers are being questioned.
