Himachal: Woman riding a scooty dies after being hit by a tanker

Bilaspur, August 24: A horrific road accident took place late night in Gwalthai, an industrial area located on the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. In the accident, a woman riding a scooty died on the spot after being hit by a tanker. The police team that reached the spot has registered a case and started investigating the accident.

According to the information received, the woman was a resident of Barmana village and was returning to Gwalthai on her Activa late at night. During this time, a tanker coming from the front at a high speed hit her. After being hit by the tanker, the woman’s head came under the truck, due to which she died on the spot. It is being told that the truck driver fled from the spot, whose search is going on. As soon as the team of Police Station Gwalthai got information about this incident. The police team immediately reached the spot and started action.

SHO Balbir Singh also reached the spot with his team and the police took the tanker and Activa into their custody. The body of the woman has been sent to Bilaspur for postmortem. While talking to journalists, SHO Balbir Singh of Gwathai Police Station said that as soon as he got information about this incident, he reached the spot and the woman died in this tragic accident. He said that only after investigation it will be known who is at fault in this accident.
