Himachal News: 6-year-old girl dies after gas cylinder pipe connected to furnace bursts and flames burn her

Una, July 27: A tragic incident has come to light in Pratap Nagar under subdivision Amb of Una district of Himachal Pradesh, where a 6-year-old girl has died due to burns in fire. The deceased has been identified as Divyanshi daughter of Pawan Kumar resident of Pratap Nagar. The police has got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family.

According to the information, Pawan Kumar of Pratap Nagar works as a golgappa maker at home. A furnace is also kept for this. On July 5, he had gone to Delhi for the supply of golgappas. While wife Aarti was also working by lighting the furnace.

During this time, son and daughter Divyanshi were playing near the furnace. At this time, the pipe of the gas cylinder connected to the furnace burst and the flames of fire went straight towards Divyanshi. Divyanshi, who was burnt in the fire, was immediately taken by the family to Civil Hospital Amb for treatment. Due to her critical condition, Divyanshi was referred to PGI Chandigarh on 6th July for further treatment, where she died during the treatment yesterday.

DSP Amb Vasudha Sood said that the body has been handed over to the family after postmortem at PGI Chandigarh.
