Shimla, July 26: Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sikander Kumar has demanded to start a timber trail from the historic Jakhu temple of Shimla city to Taradevi temple. Raising this issue in Zero Hour on Friday, Dr. Sikander Kumar said that there is a famous temple of Hanuman ji in Jakhu, the highest peak of the capital Shimla, and Mata Taradevi ji at a distance of about 15 kilometers from Shimla. He said that both these temples are the centers of religious beliefs of the people and tourists along with local people keep coming to visit these historical temples throughout the year. Dr. Sikander Kumar said that if these two temples are connected to the timber trail, then along with the increase in the influx of tourists, the tourism business will also flourish.

Demand for construction of flyover to get rid of traffic problem in Shimla-

Dr. Sikander Kumar has also demanded to build flyover and widen the roads of the city to get rid of traffic problem in Shimla city. Sikander Kumar, while speaking during the zero hour, said that Shimla city has a distinct identity all over the world. Tourists from the country and abroad come here throughout the year.

To make Shimla city more beautiful, clean and equipped with facilities, it has been brought under the Smart City, but the problem of traffic in the city is still not solved. Due to this, the tourists coming here face problems and the tourism business is also affected. He has urged the central government to make proper provisions for building flyovers and widening the roads in Shimla city so that the local people along with the tourists can get relief from the increasing traffic problem.

Dr. Sikander said that the House listened to both the demands seriously. He has expressed confidence that the central government will soon take appropriate steps on both these demands and with the cooperation of the Center, Himachal will continue to move forward on its path of development.
