Shimla, July 25: A meeting of the State Cabinet was held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The Cabinet recommended to the Governor to hold the monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Shimla from August 27 to September 9, 2024. 10 meetings will be held during the monsoon session. The Cabinet decided to create Police District Dehra, whose headquarters will be in Dehra. It was decided to create and fill 39 posts of various categories for its smooth functioning.
The Cabinet approved the merger of government primary schools within a radius of 2 km and government secondary schools within a radius of 3 km with five or less students. Apart from this, 89 government primary schools and 10 secondary schools with zero enrollment will be closed. The teaching staff in the Education Department will be transferred every year at the end of the academic session. All teachers including Head Teacher and Centre Head Teacher, Headmaster and Principal will teach the children.
In the meeting, it was decided to fill 116 posts of Work Inspector through direct recruitment in Jal Shakti Department. In the meeting, it was decided to fill 25 posts of Junior Technician (Work Inspector) in Public Works Department. In the meeting, approval was given to fill 21 posts of Civil Judge through direct recruitment. In the meeting, it was decided to open a circle of Public Works Department in Dehra of District Kangra, open a Public Works Department Division in Jawalamukhi and create and fill 26 posts of various categories.
It was also decided to upgrade Police Outpost Dadasiba as police stations under SDPO Dehra and Majhin under SDPO Jawalamukhi. It was also decided to create and fill 17 posts each of various categories for smooth functioning of these police stations. Apart from this, a new Police Outpost Jawalamukhi City will be established under Police Station Jawalamukhi and Police Outpost Moin under Police Station Dehra, in which six posts each of various categories will be created. It was also decided to transfer the jurisdiction of Police Station Rakkar from SDPO Jawalamukhi to SDPO Dehra.
In the meeting, approval was given to purchase apple, kinnow, malta, orange and mango fruits at the rate of Rs 12 per kg and galgal at Rs 10 per kg under Mandi Mediation Scheme. The purchase process of apple will be ensured from July 20 to October 31, 2024 and mango from July 1 to August 31, 2024. Apart from this, the purchase of kinnow, malta, orange and galgal will be done from November 21, 2024 to February 15, 2025.
Apart from this, the Cabinet also decided to organize morning assembly with national anthem in all schools and hoist the national flag daily in high and senior secondary schools. Physical education will be a compulsory daily period in all schools and training of CPR and first aid will also be provided in collaboration with the Health and AYUSH departments. The Cabinet approved to establish SDPO office at Dharampur in Mandi district and fill up five posts of various categories. The Cabinet approved creation of six posts of various categories for newly established SDPO office Chuwari in Chamba district and 22 posts of various categories for new police station Sihunta.

In the meeting, it was decided to create and fill 6 posts of various categories in the new SDPO office opened at Indora in Kangra district. The Cabinet approved creation and filling of 6 posts in newly established police station at Bhoranj in Hamirpur district. The Cabinet decided to create and fill 31 posts for the recently upgraded police station Manikaran in Kasoli, District Kullu. The Cabinet approved creation of 17 posts including opening of Jal Shakti Department Division at Dharampur in Kasauli Assembly Constituency of District Solan and new Sub-Division of Jal Shakti Department at Parwanoo. Apart from this, it was also decided in the meeting to transfer the jurisdiction of Subathu Sub-Division from Arki Division to Dharampur Division. The Cabinet approved to reorganize Gagret and Amb Electricity Divisions of District Una and open Electricity Division at Haroli and decided to create and fill 13 posts of various categories.
The Cabinet approved opening of Block Medical Office at Jaisinghpur in District Kangra and creation and filling of necessary posts. It was decided in the meeting to reorganize Pragpur, Nagarota Surian and Dehra Development Blocks for the convenience of the people. In the meeting, approval was given to fill 16 posts of various categories in the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department. In the meeting, it was decided to create and fill 10 posts of Treasury Officer in the Treasury, Accounts and Lottery Department.
In the meeting, it was decided to create and fill one post of Assistant Professor in the Cardiology Department of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, District Kangra and to fill 6 posts of Yoga Instructor in Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur. The Cabinet decided to create and fill 8 posts of various categories in Surani Development Block of District Kangra. The Cabinet decided to give a one-time exemption and allow the use of physical stamp paper available with the stamp vendors for 3 months from August 01, 2024. The Cabinet decided to constitute three Cabinet sub-committees. The sub-committee on examination of arbitration and court cases will be headed by Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chouhan, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya will be its members. The second Cabinet sub-committee will be headed by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, AYUSH Minister Yadavinder Goma will be the member of this sub-committee. This sub-committee will examine the cases of HPSEBL. Education Minister Rohit Thakur will be the chairman of the third Cabinet sub-committee, whose members will be Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and AYUSH Minister Yadavinder Goma. This sub-committee will examine the cases of compassionate appointments.
The meeting approved the extension of the MoU in favour of Alliance Air Aviation Limited for operating flights between Shimla-Dharamshala-Shimla (seven days a week) from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
