In this Asia Cup match, Tanuja performed brilliantly and took an important wicket by giving 14 runs in four overs. She gave India an important lead by stumping UAE captain Esha Rohit. The special thing is that Tanuja was also given the debut cap by Himachal Pradesh’s Renuka Singh Thakur.
Tanuja Kanwar was born on 28 January 1998 in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. Tanuja, who started playing cricket at a young age, joined the Dharamshala-based academy of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association in 2013. After this, she continuously improved her game and stepped into the international level.

Indian team all-rounder Shreyanka Patil was ruled out of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 due to a fracture in her left hand. After this, Tanuja Kanwar was included in the team. Before the match against UAE in the Asia Cup, Indian team’s fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur handed her the Indian team cap.
