Shimla, July 11: Cyber criminals in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla have become so fearless that they are targeting even Himachal Pradesh government officials, leaving aside the common people. One such case has come to light in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, where scammers created a fake WhatsApp account of Shimla DC Anupam Kashyap. It is believed that the scammers have done this with the intention of fraud.

The most interesting thing is that the miscreants have put the photo of Shimla DC Anupam Kashyap on a mobile number of a foreign country. Shimla and Anupam Kashyap are written along with the WhatsApp number. In the profile, it is shown as a Sri Lankan number along with a business account. This fake WhatsApp account in the name of DC Shimla has also surprised the officials of Shimla district administration.
However, DC Shimla has forwarded this matter to Shimla Police. Shimla district administration has appealed to the people that if you also get any kind of message, please do not fall into the trap and report the account immediately.
Shimla Police has started taking strict action against the fraudsters involved in opening fake WhatsApp accounts using the name of DC Anupam Kashyap. Let us tell you that a few months ago, a fake social media account was created in the name of DC Shimla Anupam Kashyap’s father HN Kashyap. He had lodged a complaint with the police about this.
