Shimla News: One person died after a brawl between two persons under influence of alcohol, accused arrested

In Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, one person lost his life after a dispute between two persons under influence of alcohol. Police have registered a case of unintentional murder and arrested the accused. The entire incident took place in Koti under Theog subdivision of Shimla district.

Shimla, July 09: In Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, one person lost his life after a dispute between two persons under influence of alcohol. Police have registered a case of unintentional murder and arrested the accused. The entire incident took place in Koti under Theog subdivision of Shimla district. According to the information received about the case, after drinking alcohol, two persons started arguing over something and during this, one person pushed the other person. Due to the push, the person fell on the road and died.

Shyam Singh resident of village Koti Tehsil Theog District Shimla has alleged in a complaint to Theog Police Station in-charge that on July 6, in the evening, he was drinking alcohol with Atmaram, Mohan Lal resident of village Chamech and a boy Umesh (guest of Atmaram) in Banwatala. After some time, Naresh also came and started drinking with him. After this, Naresh started arguing with Umesh over something.

During the argument Umesh slapped Naresh and pushed him, due to which Naresh fell from the bushes onto the road and became unconscious. Atma Ram’s wife who was going somewhere called Naresh’s brother-in-law Sheelu to the spot. After that they put Naresh in their car and took him to Sheelu’s house. At that time they felt that Naresh had drunk too much. After the pushing incident Umesh ran away to Atma Ram’s house. At night he again went to Sheelu’s house and looked but Naresh had still not woken up.

Complainant Shyam Singh said that on July 7, in the afternoon, he came to know that Naresh was taken to the hospital early in the morning where he was declared dead. Naresh died due to injuries caused by slapping and pushing by Umesh.

DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that Theog police have registered a case against the accused under 105 BNS on the basis of the complaint of complainant Shyam Singh and have arrested the accused and started further action.
