Shimla News: Buying a second hand car proved costly for an employee of Himachal Vidhan Sabha, the accused duped him of Rs. 1.15 lakh
According to the victim, the accused handed him a car which did not have any documents. He returned this car to the accused and went to his house and parked the car there. When the victim asked the accused to return the money given to him, he flatly refused.
Shimla, July 06: Buying a second hand car proved costly for a person in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla. The person who provided him a second hand car duped him of Rs 1.15 lakh. On the complaint of the cheated person, a case of cheating has been registered against the accused in Boileauganj police station. The victim is said to be an employee of Himachal Vidhan Sabha.

In the complaint given to Boileauganj Police Station, the victim said that when he was looking for a second hand car, he met a person who claimed that he would provide him a second hand car. The price of the second hand car was fixed at Rs 1.15 lakh. The victim transferred this amount online to the accused’s account.
According to the victim, the accused handed him a car which did not have any documents. He returned this car to the accused and went to his house and parked the car there. When the victim asked the accused to return the money given to him, he flatly refused.
An officer of Boileauganj police station said that on the basis of the complaint, a case of fraud has been registered and further action is being taken. The accused has not been arrested yet.
