Sundernagar, July 2: A massive fire broke out due to a short circuit in the store located on the second floor of an electrical shop in the main Bhojpur market of the Sunder Nagar subdivision of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday night, causing losses worth lakhs.Due to the fierce fire that suddenly broke out in the store, the goods kept on the third floor were also badly damaged.Due to the fierce fire that broke out on the second floor, the outer part of the adjoining readymade garment showroom has also suffered partial damage. The entire incident took place around 12 o’clock at night.

According to complete information, a fire broke out on the second floor of Inder Electricals in Bhojpur market at around 12 o’clock on Sunday night due to a short circuit. The fire took a monstrous form in no time. When people saw smoke rising from the second floor, they informed the shop owner about it. People who reached the spot also informed the forest department of BSL project about the fire.
As soon as the information was received, the forest department workers reached the spot and after a lot of hard work, they controlled the fire. But by then, goods worth lakhs kept in the store had been burnt. Due to the fire, the goods kept on the third floor have also suffered heavy damage.
DSP Bharat Bhushan said that on receiving the information, the police has started investigating the causes of the incident.
