Heartbreaking news: A truck ran over children sleeping in the grounds of Chamunda Devi temple in Himachal, one child died on the spot, three children are in critical condition

Palampur, July 02: A heartbreaking accident has come to light in Dadh village near Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham under Palampur assembly constituency of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. An innocent child died in the painful accident, while the condition of three seriously injured children is said to be critical.
Palampur Police Station Incharge said that on Monday late night, a group of migrant children who had come to the fair were sleeping in the fair ground. Meanwhile, on Monday at 10:30 pm, local driver Sonu reached the fair ground with his truck. During this time, while backing the truck, he ran over the sleeping migrant children.
Palampur police station in-charge said that the parents of the migrant children had gone to get food during the entire incident.
Nine-year-old Amit Kumar died on the spot and three other children, Deepak (12), Karna (7), and Kunal (5) were seriously injured and are said to be in critical condition.
Local resident Pankaj Kumar admitted the three seriously injured children in his car to Nagrota Hospital. Two seriously injured children have been referred to Tanda Medical College by the doctors of Nagrota Hospital in critical condition.
After the entire incident, there was a commotion at the fair site. Local people immediately reached the spot after hearing the screams and took the three injured children to the hospital.
The Palampur Police Station in-charge has registered a case against the accused driver Ravi Kumar under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and started investigation.

The post-mortem of the body of the deceased child Amit Kumar is being done and the investigation is still going on.
